Very Good

Easy check in. Hot water and very comfy bed. Really close to the main trip with lots of bars and restaurants for entertainment.

A little noisy in the evenings with music from the local bars bit was to be expected on a busy Saturday night.

Nice property, could use some improvements.

The location was good right at the end of the most popular street in town. Though it.could be loud at night. The room was fairly large even with 2 double beds and a single. The price was fantastic, and would have been better split between more people had we been traveling in a group.

The place is a bit worn down. One of the towels we were given was thread bare and had a big hole in it. It got cold at night which was fine for me but my room partner didn't enjoy it. We also didn't have running water for a day and a half or more. Finally the shower was either freezing or boiling and nothing in between.

Nice place to stay when traveling and only staying a few days.

The property is at the end of the street, right before the Mirador. It was easy to walk pretty much anywhere.

The staff, I'm sure was friendly, I just didnt see anyone around, including staff. Across the street is a couple bars that play loud music till around 2am. You may or may not like this. Just something to consider.

Good location, has everything you need for your stay

Nice location, close to the mirador (just some steps to conquer), nice hammocks, good conversations with the owner, delicious coffee

The kitchen was not very well organised but it was possible to cook, also there is live-music ever night close to the hostel which could disturbe if you have a light sleep

Modest rooms with a nice view

The host, Don Antonio, was super welcoming, offering us coffee and even soup upon arrival! Rooms are modest but the price is very good. The hostal is located at the top of the main strip, Calle Real, and has a really nice view over Salento. Cool hangout spot on the veranda with hammocks and picnic tables. Cute hostel cats :)

Unfortunately, being at the top of the strip means it can be a bit loud at night, there was a noodle restaurant next door that played loud club music until very late when we were there, so something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper.

Good

The room was spacious and clean, the position is great if you want to be close to the main square, bars and restaurants

The room was very cold because it’s not properly insulated and it felt unpleasant to be in there at night and in the early morning. The shower did not work properly. It was impossible to sleep at night because there’s loud music coming from people gathering in the street until 5am

Super nice owner, Antonio!

Super nice owner! A very nice location, view-wise. And definitely an economical choice.

There are some bars nearby that have very loud music until quite late and the walls do not keep sound out. I was here in a weekend which also means a lot of Colombian visitors in Salento. I guess this makes everything livelier. I, however, am a very light sleeper, so my sleep was very fragmented.

location

The room was in terrible conditions, celling in the bathroom had holes, so if anyone were in the attic they could see you, walls werent finnished, so there was an open space between outside and your room. We did not have any hot water and the water pressure was almost gone. Sheets hade holes from ciggaretes. There were people smoking marihuana and because of the holes in the walls and celling our room smelled so bad, it was like someone was smoking in our room. The noise was really bad, you could hear people from the streets, bars, your neighbourghs, it was like we were sleeping outside. I don't know how can they even have this "hotel" on booking. I never imagined the condition of the room by looking at the pictures on the booking.

exceptional view, exceptional host and a place you can feel home ️

it’s got the nicest view of the whole town and as the name implies also of the sunset. the staff is amazing, Antonio and his family are caring and invited us to eat and go out with them, every issue we had was cared for and we were invited to hikes and nights out to meet friends and family. Antonio also shared food, knowledge and awesome conversations. the cats shared your yoga sessions. an exceptional experience even tho we’re full time travelers. we couldn’t have asked for more! thank you ️

that we had to leave it one day ????

Sketchy rooms, but great location

Amazing location right next to Calle Real and the stairs to the view point. Hot water in the shower. Coffee is provided in the kitchen that everyone can use to cook a cup.

The photos shown on Booking for the type of room I've chosen, couldn't be further from reality. No hammocks to chill (as oposed to what is shown on the photos). The ceiling in my room was unfinished, there was mold on the walls, shower was super dirty (and I really dont have high standards), towels smelled of humidity. Very noisy, but at least that problem could be solved with earplugs.
